MAC CACIQUE:
Leading Spanish Sport Horse
in Dressage

MAC CACIQUE, pride of Yeguada MAC, has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in dressage in Spain. At only five years old, this outstanding horse was proclaimed Best Spanish Sport Horse (CDE) in dressage within his category, not only demonstrating a brilliant future but also showcasing the value of the Spanish Sport Horse at the highest level of competition.

An impeccable journey to the Spanish Championships

With very limited competition outings, MAC CACIQUE secured his place at the 2025 Spanish Young Horse Dressage Championships, held from 3rd to 7th September.

  • His debut came at the CDN 2* ANCCE XII Equestrian Weekend Ciudad de Jerez (25th July), where he scored an impressive 77.200% on his very first appearance.
  • Shortly afterwards, at the CDN 3* in Segovia (9th August), he repeated the same score of 77.200%, which immediately secured his qualification for the Spanish Championships.

At the national event, MAC CACIQUE achieved a highly creditable fourth place with an overall average of 349.9 points, positioning himself as the best Spanish Sport Horse in his category and the top Iberian horse of his age group in dressage, surpassing even Central European horses of outstanding quality, ridden by some of Spain's most accomplished riders.

Elegance, character and elite PRE bloodlines

The success of MAC CACIQUE is no coincidence. He embodies the quality of movement, beauty, elegance and exceptional temperament of the Pura Raza Española (PRE).
His pedigree confirms his status: he is sired by CACIQUE IX and descends from ERMITAÑO III, the first PRE stallion to be officially recognised as élite, ensuring the very highest standards of genetic excellence in sport.

Strength and composure in the arena

In the final of the Spanish Championships, MAC CACIQUE secured an impressive third place with 79%. Despite challenging conditions, with strong winds and unforeseen distractions that unsettled many of the most competitive horses, he displayed maturity, composure and total harmony with his rider.
He is a truly competitive horse yet retains such rideability and balance of character that he could be confidently ridden by an amateur — or even by a child.

A promising future for Spanish dressage

At just five years of age, MAC CACIQUE has already proven himself among the elite of young dressage horses in Spain. His career is being guided by renowned Olympic rider José Antonio García Mena, whose expertise is a guarantee of continued progression at the highest level.

Thanks to his elite bloodlines, outstanding natural qualities and the backing of Yeguada MAC, MAC CACIQUE is destined to leave his mark both in competition and in the breeding of the Spanish Sport Horse.

At Yeguada MAC, we are proud to celebrate his achievements and look forward with excitement to the future of a horse that perfectly embodies the excellence of our stud and the values that define our breeding programme.
