MAC CACIQUE
makes his six-year-old debut
with two second places

CDN3* C.H. Los Albardones

MAC CACIQUE has made an impressive start to his 2026 competition season, making his debut in the six-year-old class. The Yeguada MAC-bredhorse secured two second places and completed the competition with average scores above 75% at the CDN3* C.H. Los Albardones, held on 21 and 22 August 2026.

It was also his first competition outing of the season, stepping straight into a three-star show against a strong field of talented young horses, including combinations preparing to qualify for the Spanish Championships.

In this demanding setting, MAC CACIQUE once again demonstrated the qualities that continue to define his development: athleticism, elegance, quality across all three paces and an exceptional willingness to work with his rider.

Two days defined by consistency

The marks awarded over both days particularly highlighted MAC CACIQUE’s consistency and balance.

On 21 August, the judges awarded him 7.7 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 7.5 for canter and an outstanding 7.8 for future potential.

The following day, MAC CACIQUE maintained virtually the same level of performance, receiving 7.6 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 7.7 for canter and 7.6 for future potential.

Not one of his marks for the three paces or future potential fell below 7.5 throughout the entire weekend — a particularly significant level of consistency considering that this was his first competition of the season and his debut at six-year-old level.

The result: two second places and average scores above 75%, establishing himself from his very first outing amongst the leading horses in a highly competitive class.

Quality, temperament and future potential

MAC CACIQUE is an athletic and elegant horse, but there is another quality we value just as highly: his temperament.

His impeccable composure, attentiveness to his rider and willingness to work complement the quality of his three paces. Together, these qualities embody the type of horse we aim to breed at Yeguada MAC: beautiful and true to type, yet equally functional, balanced and genuinely suited to the demands of the sport.

At Los Albardones, these qualities were assessed by FEI judges, who particularly recognised his potential for the future, awarding him marks of 7.8 and 7.6 for future potential.

For MAC CACIQUE to maintain this standard across both days, in his first competition of 2026 and on his debut at six-year-old level, represents an important confirmation of his development and gives us every reason to look forward to the next stages of his sporting career.

Breeding with the future in mind

At Yeguada MAC, we see every competition as one stage in a much longer journey. Results matter, but so does the way in which they are achieved: respecting each horse’s development, progressively building their strength and abilities, and allowing them to express in the arena the qualities for which they were bred.

MAC CACIQUE’s debut at Los Albardones leaves us with two second places, average scores above 75% and, above all, the recognition from FEI judges of a young horse displaying quality, consistency and exciting sporting potential.

An excellent start at six-year-old level for a horse continuing to take confident steps towards a very promising future.
